PRETTY PRE-COLUMBIAN PERUVIAN CHANCAY TEXTILE FRAGMENTS. From Chancay Culture. Dolls making tradition was in practice along the arid central coast of Peru. The iconography seen are typical textile designs of the ancient culture. Recovered from funerary offerings, they are made of wool and cotton and natural dyes. Various sizes: 6" x 6", 3 1/2" x 2 1/2", 3 3/4" x 3 1/4", etc.
