Pre-war Japan Celluloid Windup Guardsman Soldier, NMIB Please check out my other auctions for many tin friction cars, other tin vehicles and other Japanese tin being listed, many in original boxes! I will combine shipping on multiple purchases! c.1930's wind-up tin and celluloid guardsman soldier toy. This is a great toy that is made of all celluloid that somewhat resembles England's Royal Guards. This toy was made in Japan and is made of a celluloid body with tin legs and feet. When you windup the mechanism, the soldier sways from side to side. The toy still works great and it still has the original paper label on its chest! The toy measures 8.75" tall. It still has the original paper inspection label that states PASSED INSPECTION. The box has a wonderful label on the lid stating "ROYAL GUARD" with an image of the toy guard in front of a guard house. I have had many different windup guards but have not actually seen this particular toy in 20 years of collecting! CONDITION: T are no cracks, breaks or repairs to the celluloid. T is one very small 1/2" shallow ding to the hat. The original box is in excellent condition with some edge wear and it has faded colors. The celluloid still has great colors! This would be a fantastic addition to your tin windup, or celluloid toy collection! Winning bidder pays $5.50 confirmed shipping within
