A set of three drums from the 1960s. Well gigged but still sounding great! A 20 inch bass drum, 12 inch mounted tom and 16 inch floor tom in brown 'Mahogany' pattern. This is the same brand and pattern that Ringo Starr played at The Cavern etc in his early Beatles days. This kit has been used in my 1960s tribute show at theatres, town halls etc around the UK for the past five years. My son replaced the original drummer and played this kit for a while but then wanted to use his own 1964 Trixon one -which he now is! My son is left-handed and when he joined the band I had to adapt the bass drum from its right-handed format. Seemingly, it wasn't designed for left-handers! It just meant drilling a couple of extra holes to reposition the mount. Therefore it is now suitable for right or left handed drummers. Sadly, the bass drum and floor tom fell victim to the icy conditions of the year before last. The drums (stored in the band's van with the other equipment) were loaded into a venue one night and they didn't like the change in temperatrure from cold to hot. The wrap split quite badly on the bass drum and one split developed in the floor tom. It was devastating to see it happening to a kit that had been in really good condition since the mid '60s. Please rest assured that the shells are NOT split. It's the mahogany wrap and this can read more
