Excellent condition official Presidential Christmas gift from president and Mrs. Nixon. This beautiful framed print and embossed Christmas card is still in its original "Frank the Framer" White House frame as presented. The Gilbert Stuart by George Washington was gifted in 1969, the Nixon's first Christmas in the White House. It is a replica by Gilbert Stuart of his "Athenaeum" portrait, the best known likeness of our first President. It was painted in 1796, the last year of Washington's Administration. Nancy served through 4 administrations! (1969-1985) in various positions, including posts at the NSC and in the West Wing.
