I don't even know w to begin to describe this masterful early candleabra. It dates to the early 19th century and is clearly made by the most skilled of craftsman. The turnings of the wood are fabulous as you can see. The wood is just as it should be for a piece of this age. The main column is made from one piece of wood and is spectacular. The individual candle cups are stellar. It will be a long time before you see another like it outside of a museum. The only apology is that one arm has a repair that is not done in a professional manner. It is stapled and comes off easily. As a matter of fact when I send it I will take this piece off for safety. I have shown this in two of the pictures. It would be very easy to have this repaired or you can leave it as is, which is how I've enjoyed it. It has eight candle arms and is one of the most beautiful pieces of early lighting I have ever had the privilege to own. In the center of a country dining table it takes my breath away. Guaranteed to be authentic and as described. T are remnants of the early blue paint which was original to the piece. The center shaft measures 16 inches high! Each candle arm measure out approximately eight inches and each candle cup is 2 1/2 inches across and 2 1/8 inches high. Sadly I have to part with a few of my favorite pieces. My loss is your gain. You rarely see a piece of this caliber at the finest auctions. Now you have an opportunity to own it without the outrageous commissions of the auction houses. I have more pic's available. If you would like more please write and I will send them to you. Please include your email address as I cannot add more pictures through Ebay. Canadian and International bidders please contact me before bidding. Shipping, with packing and insurance in the US will be a flat rate of $24.99. C ongrats to the next lucky owner of this rare and magnificent example of early lighting and spectacular woodenware.
