Priest's 1940s WW2 sterling silver cross. Made by a silversmith that specialised in church regalia. Engraved with the Chi-Rho symbol that represents the first two letters of Christ in Greek, plus alpha and omega, the beginnng and the end. On a heavy modern 60 cm sterling silver chain 925. Hallmarks: London 1945. Maker: ARM&Co Ltd. A.R.Mowbray & Co. Ltd. Dimensions approx: 53 x 53 mm excluding bail. Weight approx: 21.7 gm cross; 19.9 gm chain. Total 41.6 gm. Condition: Very good. Please see photos. Shipping: Always combined. If over £46, then international signed for would be £9.50 and UK would be £5.50 special delivery. Unimportant info. Many people have expressed curiosity about where it all comes from. I had hoped to go into retail, so collected eclectically for years. That is not now going to happen, so I am selling everything.
