~Hello and welcome to my auction~ For this listing, I am offering a primitive Americana star door greeter/peg hanger that has been handmade by me! This primitive star decoration would look wonderful hanging on a cupboard door or from a peg on a shelf. It can also be hung on your covered front porch door! It can be displayed anyw you would like a bit of Americana spirit! The large star is made out of navy ticking fabric....front and back and has been stuffed very firmly. The hanger for the star is a piece of grosgrain ribbon that is stitched into the seam of the star. The pocket on the front was created out of a piece of a red and white coverlet. It is hand stitched in place. When the sewing and stuffing was completed, I stained the star with a coffee/vanilla mixture and it has dried to a perfectly prim appearance. Inside of the pocket, I have placed faux greenery and cranberry colored pip berries. Also, included is an Americana postcard that I have prim'd to perfection and lightly dusted with fine glass glitter. Along with the postcard is a hand painted firecracker. It is made out of a dried birch branch with a jute twine fuse. I placed a bit of moss in the top of the pocket also.
