Up for auction is this wonderful old apple butter bucket with the original wooded churn. It fits perfectly on top and the wooden handle turns the paddles at the bottom of the bucket. The bucket measures 11" across & 8" tall. The wooden handle is pegged and t are no cracks in the wood. This bucket has a strange mixture of metals, I see some copper and some brass too. It was completely black when I got it from the years over the burning fire. I did clean it up some with vinegar, salt & flour. It still has that rugged look but can be cleaned better if you want to try it buy it! Thanks for looking. I did try a magnet and it would not stick to the bucket.
