AUGELITE (fine, lustrous, sharp gemmy crystals) with PYRITE , BARITE and QUARTZ on matrix
One of the new finds from the summer collecting in Bolivia. AUGELITE is a very rare aluminum hydroxyl phosphate. The only locality in the world that is producing crystals of any significance are the tin mines of Bolivia. These new specimens are some of the largest, best quality, gem/gemmy, aesthetic crystallized display specimens of this species that I have seen in a long time. Some of the crystals on these specimens are the absolute largest that I have seen from Bolivia. In the past, I have had large "plates" of small Augelite crystals, and more recently, some fine quality and somewhat larger crystals with Pyrite and Siderite from Tasna, but these new specimens from Machacamarca have me the most excited and have in my opinion made for a great opportunity for everybody to own a superb specimen of this rare phosphate with crystals that are excellent quality. These are some of the best AUGELITE crystals to hit the mineral market in a long time. This piece features dozens of fine, sharp, lustrous, colorless, gemmy crystals of AUGELITE associated very small crystallized QUARTZ , white blocky BARITE and octahedral PYRITE on matrix. The quality of the AUGELITE crystals is very good and they are scattered all over the specimen. The crystals on this specimen are definitely some of the best quality I've seen from Bolivia ! Don't miss out on owning this rare phosphate! This mineral is not seen often in ANY format from ANY locality !! Enjoy !! NO RESERVE !! Locality : Machacamarca Mine, near Colavi, Potosi Department, Bolivia. Specimen Size : 5.32 x 3.8 x 3.0 cm. ** Please note that shipping for any specimens purchased via USPS First Class Mail is FREE to customers living in the United States. If the package is too heavy, fragile or cumbersome to be shipped via First Class Mail, I have instituted a new shipping policy and ask that you split the cost with me for Priority Mail (this includes a handling charge). T will be times on larger orders that I ask for the buyer to pay for the entire shipping cost, but this is not often. If you desire to have the specimen shipped by any means than First Class Mail, I ask that you pay for the additional shipping. Insurance is ALWAYS optional, but I ask that you pay for that as well. I ask all buyers for all international orders to pay for the entire shipping cost. If you have any other questions regarding the shipping policies, please let me know. ** Please check out my other auctions at my Ebay store. ... and don't forget to check out My eBay Store for even more great items !
