Hired Man's Bed This auction is for a Pennsylvania softwood Cannonball rope bed with scrolled cutout head board and bulbous turned tall legs.. Exact age unknown but believe to be from the 1820s era.. I am told this is a hired man's bed because of the size and no decorative covers over the bolts.. Easy disassemble for storage.. See photos for details.. SIZE:: Headboard 48" high x 49" wide Footboard 48" high x 49" wide Siderails 65 1/2" long CONDITION:: Overall good.. Solid and sturdy.. Bolts function well.. Original rich finish intact showing appropriate wear and distressing.. Knobs intact.. T is one minor wood crack near bolt area on footboard and one on headboard post - does not deter or impair integrity.. See photos for condition and details..
