Offered is this large and lovely hand carved wood trencher or dough bowl made of a single piece of lumber. It might also be called a bread pan or board. The wooden trencher features two tab handles and a deep depression for mixing and kneading dough. The length is 21.5 inches from handle to handle (54.5 cm). The width is 14.5 inches (37 cm). The height is 5.25 inches (13.5 cm) while the carved-out depression, or bowl, is 4 inches deep (10 cm). This piece of wood weighs just over 3 pounds, making relatively light weight for its size. The bread bowl is a fine piece of primitive craftsmanship. We cannot say what kind of wood.We would describe it as being in good used condition. There is a split in the wood at one handle, probably from dryness, which you can see if you look carefully at the photos. The interior of the trencher is quite smooth. We are not experts in this area, but would be happy to provide additional information if we can.The item will be insured.Questions welcomed. Thanks for looking.Sorry. No returns. All items are sold "as is."
