Description Thank you for stopping by. For your consideration today is a wonderful old Childs Double Chalkboard. This is so rare. It has the Childs name handwritten beautifully on the top of both of the top edges of the edging AND on the other side it has Presented by and the name of the person who gave it to him.Dates June 8, 1890. I will try my best to get the exact writing ..even though it is quit clear my eyes are not as good as they used to be and the handwritting is in cursive writing. The childs name was John A Mc(this part is questionable) last name Bower and it is dated June 8, 1890..This is on the top outer edge of the boards trim..the other side has Presented by and the name of the person who gave it to him ..Im assuming sorry I cant figure that out, it is cursive and kind of light..but with a magnafine glass and some good eyes Im sure you will be able to figure it out.Its not too light w it cant be seen. Ok now for the chalkboard and its outer edge. Wonderful old red material edges both boards entirely...along with old string that wraps around the entire edges through tiny holes. T is a crack and a chip on the one board the other board is fine..T is wear on the string and material due to age I must say this is a great piece of history and a great primitive piece to add t your collection.
