is another great piece I found at a small country auction in Maine. This beautiful old crock has a nice ovoid shape with elephant ear handles. The crock has a dark brown glazed interior with a beige salt glazed exterior with a cobalt 4 and design on the top front. The design looks like a couple of sets of horns. I'm not really sure what it is supposed to be. This measures 13 1/4 inches tall and is 10 inches in diameter at the top. This is in nice condition with no cracks or chips. It appears someone drilled a small hole in the back near the bottom which has left a ding on the inside. T is also is alot of crazing with discoloration. This still displays nicely and would be a great gift for any collector. I have several old stoneware pieces listed for auction this week that came from the same estate auction.
