As theprimitiveman, I enjoy using old materials to recreate items from original American antiques. Offered here is such a piece, a Primitive Candle Stand in Original Red Paint and Old Style Blue Paint with No Reserve! This candlestand was made from remnants of antiques much too nice not to do anything with. The round top is hand planed poplar in Original Red Paint dating from about 1860. The vintage pedestal base and three curved legs are maple and in Old Style Blue Paint which is not old but painted, aged, oxidized and seemingly realistic. The legs are wonderfully curved and tapered in the Shaker/Hepplewhite style. The pedestal has wonderful incised markings. Please see the pictures. This stand measures 26" tall, the top is 17" in diameter. This Primitive Candle Stand repurposed from early wood in Original Red Paint and Old Style Blue Paint is being offered with No Reserve!
