Christmas Greetings from Creek Side Hollow Primitives! Up for your consideration today is this wonderful Snowfolk Doll and his Cardinal friend! This duo is made from a pattern from Back Porch Pickens! Thank you Tonya!! Snowfolk's head and body are made of aged and color washed Osnaburg. He has a weighted bottom to keep him standing freely on his own. Now, for Snowfolk's face...... His beautiful eyes have been hand painted and shaded. Gorgeous blue eyes that sparkle! His eyelids are separately hand stitched to add dimension and character. Snowfolk's nose is has been hand sculpted to look like a real carrot! Look at the little carrot dimples...... great prim orange color.... his smile is 4 "coal lumps" hand painted and shaded to perfection! Atop Snowfolk's head is his grungy ole stovepipe hat......it has been colorwashed in a flat black, sanded and stained to add a primitive touch. Grungy cheesecloth has been tied around the hat brim, with a sparkley pick of pine and sugared glass cranberries to finish it off.... His warm winter coat is made of Fleece that has been nicely stained....pulled snug in the front by wool felt straps to keep the winter chill away! 6 cute little red felt stars adorn his jacket.....I added a rusty bell to each one to add a little charm! Snowfolk's scarf is made of a grubby piece of Homespun fabric. Tied neatly around his neck.....I have added little cuts to the ends of the scarf, to make it look like a real scarf..... His little mittens are also made up of wool felt in a pretty red to match the stars on his jacket. Cute little mustard stars on each one.....and of course a rusty bell on each! Attached to Snowfolk's left arm is his handy walking stick......this stick is a real sunflower stalk! Perched atop his stick is his Cardinal friend....... The Cardinal is made of muslin that I have painted a dirty barn red. He has a hand sculpted beak painted a warm mustard color to bring out the little stars on his mittens! His wings are attached to his side with rusty safety pins.........Cardinal has beautiful hand sculpted tail feathers....... Snowfolk's walking stick has been adorned with some "rags" A piece of grungy cheesecloth tied below the Cardinal and a piece of fleece that matches Snowfolk's jacket tied a little farther down..... His stick has been wired to his arm to keep it in place..... This set measures about 27" tall from top of hat to bottom of body and 14" across (mitten to mitten) This duo will be the perfect addition to you Holiday decor! No one else will have a pair quite like this! Certainly not with as much character as these guys!! Wishing you and yours a wonderful Holiday Season full of joy!
