Primitive ~ Civil War Era ~ Match Safe ~ Match Holder This is a terrific piece of memorabilia! is a primitive / vintage match safe that is approx. 3 1/2" and 1/2" wide. It seems to be a tin metal material with a gold or copper coating of some kind. T is a picture of Crane standing in water with cattails. It is not signed, and t are no dates. The safe has a push button that releases the lid to open. The match striker is on the bottom of the safe. This match safe has been well used. The Plated coating is well worn and the images are faded. The image of the crane is weak. The button release does release but the lid catches and you have to lift it while you hold the button in, and you also have to hold in the button to close it. The hing that holds the lid feels and looks strong after all this time. It still has 15 old wooden matches that will go with it. T is No Reserve set on this. I would have to say the over all condition of this match safe is Good / Fair Condition. Payments- Winner will be Contacted for Payment and Shipping Information.
