Hello and welcome to my auction. Today I have listed for your consideration a prim and sweet arrangement in a hand painted wood recipe box with a vintage look label featuring fabric sunflowers and a little bee. The box has been hand painted in black, distressed and sealed with a matte finish. I have attached a vintage look label to the front of the box featuring a sunflower seed pack that I have antiqued. The sunflowers were hand cut from layers of a heavy fabric, grunged, baked and three were painted a great mustard yellow and two were made from heavy burgundy fabric. They have dark brown heavy chenille for their centers. The bee was cut from black fabric. He has hand painted yellow stripes, grungy cheesecloth wings and rusty wire antenae. The sunflowers and bee have been dusted with cinnamon for a nice prim look. I have added preserved green cedar, green sweet annie, a few hand painted fabric leaves and burgundy and gold pips. I finished with a grunged tag that reads "Sunflowers 1883" with a black dash border. The back is signed and dated. The design measures approximately 12" high and about 11" wide and would make a special addition to your prim collection or a great gift. The arrangement was handmade in a smoke and pet free home.
