This small chest is made from old reclaimed pine....lots of imperfections, nice grain, knot holes....tons of primitive character and country charm. Simply made with half moon legs....a hinged split top & hinged with old re-used hardware and put together with old cut nails. I've worked a naturally uneven or irregular place into the front w over the years your fingers would have worn away the wood from opening the top.....This little chest measures 18" Wide x 9.5" Deep x 12" Tall....it's been painted in Country Teal, a wonderful country accent color then distressed & aged for a beautiful worn primitive appearance. The inside is just stained. It's the perfect size for sitting on top of a cupboard, sideboard or entry table....great for keeping the "not-so-primitive" needfuls we seem to depend on today, keys, remotes, etc. Also a good size to sit beside a chair to keep your rug hooking or stitching materials....a nice little chest for your old country home.
