This girl is 46" tall, and has baked an apple pie just for you! I am very pleased at how she turned out! She was inspired by a design by Susan Walker. What a beauty! Her whole body is painted osnaburg, and her sweet facial features are sculpted to give her a life-like appearance. Her fingers and toes are individually sculpted, and her fingers are even posable! Her hair is made out of black wool roving with a scrap of homespun for her bow. Her dress was stained with tea, then baked in the hot Arizona sun. Her pantaloon is made from muslin, then drawn together at the waist with jute. Her dress is blue homespun and is cinched up at the bottom with old buttons. Her apron is made from blue and cream calico, with a muslin heart shaped pocket that is accented with rusty safety pins and old buttons. This apple potpourri pie looks so real, and smells so good! It was inspired by a recipe from "Our Vintage Home". I used an old 9" metal pie pan. The "crust" is made from coffee and cinnamon stained muslin. The "pie filling" potpourri is made from cinnamon sticks, rose hips, dried apples, and is sprinkled with cinnamon spice scented oil. On top I've sprinkled mica flakes, (looks like sugar!), and added cinnamon sticks for decoration. I am a new member of eBay, but have been a doll maker for many years. I will be adding new pattern inspired, and new original designed dolls regularly. Please look for me and my "Back in the Day Primitives" in the future and thank you for viewing one of my debut dolls. Look for my original creation; Glenda the Good Witch!
