~ Santa's Flying ~ Welcome to my auction! Up for bid is a BIG CHRISTMAS WALL HANGER. Santa's riding a Crow this year, not Rudolf! The Crow measure 3 foot long...the perfect size for the wall over the couch:) From Santa's hat to his boot is about 16". This is all handmade and stitched, not glued. I got the pattern from Sweet Meadows Farm - thanks for the wonderful pattern! Now then, description in detail. Santa and Crow are made from muslin that has been painted, stained and heavily sanded to look old and worn. I colored and shaded Santa's face and then sealed it so it won't smear. His nose has been stitched to add some depth to his detailed face. Santa's sack is made from homespun. I made the little Annie doll out of muslin too. The candy cane is made out of pipe cleaners and dipped in real German Glass Glitter, has the vintage Christmas look. His reins are old bailer's twine with red wooden beads strung on (just like the wooden beads used to make the garland for the Christmas trees years ago)! And my favorite part ~ Santa's beard...I love it. It is made from raw sheep's wool...washed and felted right to his face. The curls and ringlets just hang perfect and look so natural.
