Primitive Spring Easter Chick Pin Keep-Make Do Description Thank you for visiting this wonderful Folk Art Piece today.I enjoyed designing this great Pin Keep for you and hope you will wish to bring it home and enjoy it for years to come. I had so much fun making this I have made another one. No two are a like and each are signed and numbered. The body of the Chick is made of a Vintage Piece of Osnaburg Fabric. I enjoy working with it and find it to bring so much life to my creations.The body is firmly stuffed then the neck and beak area is needle sculpted. The wings are hand sewn in place.I hand washed the entire chick in a Golden Mustard Yellow, and made the beak a burnt orange. I placed it out in the sun to dry and then lightly sanded it then rubbing it in cloves and cinnamon. I hand sewed a black bead on each side of the head for the eye. The chick is mounted to a small old wooden candle holder using a heavy duty glue since they could not be sewn to the wood.Around the neck I have tied and added rusty bells on a rusty wire. On the back side I have place three hat pins and tied a old rusty key to a rusty pin. What perfect place for someone in the past to put a key so they did not loose it.
