Believe me fellow ebayers, I had to think long and hard before parting with this wonderful walnut stool or cricket bench. I owned an antiques shop in Tennessee for 15 years and this is one of the nicest I have run across - of course I am partial to walnut and the folk art look. I have kept it for quite a few years, but it has been packed in the closet for 3 years since we moved to the Gulf so it is time for it to have a home that will use and enjoy its beauty. In very nice condition with no cracks, splits, etc., just a few stains and some wear to the bottom of the legs as expected from use and age. The walnut is a warm brown with a soft patina, 14" long, 9 1/4" deep, stands a little over 9" tall, the decorative apron hangs down 2 1/4", the opening on the top is 1" deep - just enough to grasp for carrying. It is obvious the maker paid attention to details with the scalloped apron and carved boot jack legs. The little stool is in very sturdy condition overall with no wobble to the legs, etc. Buyer pays actual shipping/insurance. US SHIPPING ONLY. Starting at a low opening bid with no reserve, so don't miss out on this beauty!!! THANKS.
