I love this 14 inch petite santa...so sweet and just check out his expression......Looks as if he's thinking ~Oh no....I am in big trouble.....He is sure to tug at your heart. His jacket and trousers are made from a vintage wool blend blanket trimmed in aged fleece and two vintage plastic buttons...very detailed....check out the closeups! His hat is made from one of my favorite chenille patterns and an aged jingle bell is sewn to the tip...and his 6 inch heart is made from yet another piece of chenille...faded olive green in color spruced up with two vintage clear plastic detailed buttons....The aged hang tag is handstamped with ~Vintage Christmas~ tied with a bit of vintage ribbon and pinned to the heart with a brass pin..... He is weighted for an old fashioned feel...but not with any new fangled weighted items....I just used an old Quincy rock...works perfect and he sits so nice! The combination of wool and chenille, textures and colors, adds depth and personality that brings him alive... makes him look like he was just discovered in the attic.... He is quality made with pieces of the past to warm your heart and soul. This doll is a Old Time Doll Co. original and ONE OF A KIND piece of folk art designed by me, Kimi. A pattern is NEVER used, I make each doll one at a time...no assembly line. HE IS SIGNED, DATED, AND NUMBERED. On his bottom I hand sew a tag of authenticity. Each doll is cut individually out of muslin, the face is hand sculpted and embroidered....a template is not used. Using vintage fabrics, textiles, and notions in short supply you are truly getting a one of a kind doll full of its own personality and charm. His boots and mittens are hand painted and sanded for that worn by time look! All embellishment, lace, buttons, and 100% wool beard are hand sewn on. I never use glue on any of my dolls. This doll is stained to perfection and made to look like a true antique primitive doll, that has seen a lot of history in its time.
