Woodland Americana and Friend
Hello again! This time around I'm offering an 18 inch Woodland Santa. He's made from stained muslin. His nose and brows are needle sculpt. The blue eyes and shading, are colored with artist pencils and painted highlites. The face is then sealed with a matte finish. The forehead wisp, mustache and beard are made from rabbit's fur. The beard was handstitched in place, but t is a small amount of adhesive on the chin area. The wisp and mustache have a small aount of the adhesive to place them. (Note: This is recycled fur.) His coat, hood and undergarment are made from an old wool blanket. They are trimmed with stars and edging cut from vintage wool felt, all hand stitched into place. His gloves, with needle sculpt fingers, are painted. They are lightly wired. He is mounted on an oak candle stick with a round pine base. The base has a felt pad. It was painted in two colors and then stained and sealed with a matte finish. His little companion is 6.5 inch Sylvester. This snowman is made from the vintage wool felt. His features are stitched with black pearl cotton. He wears a wool scarf and black top hat. The hat is stitched to his head. T is a string on his upper back so he can be displayed by himself. Santa's bag is made from an old feed sack. It's filled with greenery, peppermint sticks made from pipe cleaners, mini pinecones and two vintage tinsel stems. The stained flag sits in its own pocket on the sack. The sack too, can be removed to sit alone. And last is his walking stick. I collect sticks on my property. This was either a candy cane or walking stick. It's cedar. I painted it in the americana colors, stained and sealed with a matte finish. He is signed and dated on his back. The photos were taken indoors, I'm not quite good with indoor photos, sorry. I accept personal checks, money orders and Pay Pal. International winners must use Pay Pal. Thank you. His sleigh ride fee is $8.75 Parcel Post. International winners must email me for exact shipping fee. Thank you. Thank you for looking, Happy Bidding and Happy Holidays!
