Ho, Ho, Ho and Happy Holiday Fun from hand-me-downz Twinkles MacDougall, the Elf Doll and Original ACEO card #1 Santa's Helper for 2006 Please meet Twinkles MacDougall, Elf, one of Santa's Workshop Helpers. Twinkles MacDougall just LOVES being one of Santa's helpers. One might think he spends his whole day making toys for all of the good girls and boys. But truth be told, Twinkles isn't all that adept at putting toys together. In the past he has attached doll's heads to the masts of toy sailboats, put wheels on rubber duckies, and made a set of round wooden blocks. Nope, not a toymaker, by far. Now one might wonder, why would Santa keep an elf who couldn't couldn't make toys? Pretty useless, right? Good Ol' Santa realizes though, that each helper has their own special talents and personality, but knows they can't always see how special and unique they really are. Santa knows that Twinkles MacDougall always has a kind word for everyone he meets....Twinkles MacDougall is REALLY special.... Santa decided to try Twinkles in a couple of different jobs. T was an opening for an elf at the North Pole Mall. Sounds like a perfect job for an elf, helping out Santa's Helper, the Santa at the Mall, right? Not so. Twinkles kept eating all of the candy canes, and forgetting to keep order in line. Next, Santa tried him in the reindeer barn, managing the flight training schedule. Oh dear...Twinkles just wasn't cut out to be a Flight Traffic Controller...several near mid-air reindeer crashes ended Twinkles career in aviation. Finally, Santa had found the perfect spot for Twinkles...in the tree workshop carving most exquisite wooden Christmas trees...you can see an example of Twinkles work in the photos. Twinkles MacDougall has been made from muslin, with a hand-embroidered, appliqued face, painted and antiqued for a vintage look. See, he is thinking of a kind word for YOU too! Twinkles wears a long stocking cap, made from red and white striped cotton, decorated with a rusty jingle bell. His shirt and stockings are made from the same striped fabric. Twinkle's knee pants. jingle bell collar, and hat band are a dark green and blue plaid, and his curly toed elf shoes are dark green felt. He carries one of his fabulous carved wooden Christmas Trees, and wears his Gen-U-Ine Santa's Workshop ID badge, an original ACEO watercolor and pen art card. Art card/ID badge is in a plastic sleeve, and can be removed and put into an art card album. Card is standard 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" on heavy watercolor paper, backed with black ArtAgain cardstock. Twinkles measures 18" tall from the top of his hat to the bottom of his curly toed elf boots. Wouldn't Twinkles MacDougall, and his Helper friends (shown above) make the perfect addition to your holiday collection? Please take them all home with you!
