I just finished up this great Halloween rug last night! Many many hours have gone into its creation. I have hand drawn the design by hand from my own imagination onto quality monks cloth, hand dyed all of the wools used, hand hooked every loop, and hand sewn the binding on the back. The rug depicts three scared pumpkin witch sisters. The center witch is a lovely primtive orange gal. She is staring straight out at you!. The two sister witches on either side are hooked with a wonderful old dingy white (they appear much brighter in my photos than they actually are because of my camera flash) and they are each looking inward towards their big sis. I have hooked the background with a lovely mix of black stars, assorted colored pennies and then filled it in random fashion with my favorite khaki mustard overdyed gray mix of over 8 different wools! The look is amazing!!! I then bordered and framed the rug with a few rows of antique black. This piece is so much fun and so special to me that it will not be easy to part with. I have placed a modest reserve, relative to its true retail value. I use only quality woolens for all of my hookings. This will be an heirloom to treasure and will fast become a favorite halloween decoration for your family for years to come. It is rather large measuring 28 inches wide and 17 inches tall.
