Primitive Iron & Wood Tobacco Food Vegetable Chopper

This primitive iron and wood food chopper probably was used in a kitchen or on a farm to cut vegetables or tobacco. The curved arm ( marked " RE 5E ", see last photo ) has an iron blade with a wooden handle and it pivots in a complete circle. The heavy wooden base is 1 5/8" thick and has four small feet on the underside to keep it from slipping when used. The entire piece is 17" long, the chopping arm measures 15" in length and the blade is 6". The board is 9 x 14". I do not know the age of this piece.
