Primitive Patriotic Penny Rug Felt Liberty Mat Prim My house isn't primitive or Early American or Early Anything, but I fell in love with this primitive mat! I only have one, but I'll have to get more because I think I'm going to need one and you're going to need one! I've been feeling patriotic this year. I haven't let this downturned economy get to me, I just have to try harder and work longer. I want to see everybody doing well again and building homes and buying things and not being afraid to go out to dinner! So I've been on the lookout for a few patriotic things. This felt mat measures a very large 40 inches by 25 inches (to the "tongues"). T are 13 applied stars, two flags and an oak branch with leaves and acorns. Below that, the word LIBERTY. Black background. It just has such great graphic appeal. You could use it as a centerpiece on your table, put it on the back of the couch. You could hang it as long as you individually pinned up the top "tongues" so they wouldn't fall over. I've pictured this on a table that's just about the size of a card table and that shows you how really large it is. I love all kinds of needlework and I'm just so attracted to this piece!
