Primitive Shaker Oval Box You are bidding on a wonderful Shaker 2-finger Oval Box, measuring 2-1/4 inches deep, 6 inches long, and 3-3/4 inches wide. The box is held together with copper tacks holding the fingers, and square nails which hold the pine bottom to the box. The cover is also constructed with square nails holding the pine top to the band around the lid. All typical of Shaker craftsmanship. This box has a natural old finish. T is a crack in this box which begins just below the top finger of the box that is 5 inches long, but the box is still sturdy.
