This is a large snowman doll measuring 25 1/2" tall. The round head is made of aged muslin with a hand stitched face and a carrot nose that is also made of muslin,sculpted, painted and aged. The body is made of vintage chenille that has been dyed vibrant red and is so soft. Down his middle he wears 3 large rusty bells and aged fur around his mittens and boots. The mittens and boots are muslin that have been aged, painted, sanded and rubbed with cinnamon. The boots each have 3 small rusty bells going down the front. He wears a felt hat and a wonderful scarf made from a antique quilt that really gives this snowman doll a lot of character. He holds a large mitten that measures 13" long ( including greenery) that is made of a different piece of antique quilt than the scarf for the front of the mitten and is backed with muslin. Around the top of the mitten is aged vintage chenille with a rusty bell . Inside the mitten t is pine, cedar, red pip berries and a rusty star. The snowman has been sprinkled with german glass on his face and has pink cheeks from the cold, he looks so cute and really glitters in the light. His hat, scarf and mitten have been sprinkled with old time mica flakes so sitting in candle light or christmas lights he looks so wonderful with all the glimmer and shine. This snowman would look so nice sitting in a childs rocker by the tree, a bench in your entry way or how wonderful on a shelf in a cupboard. Great to keep out till the spring thaw.
