This is an old metal soap saver. It is 9.5 inches long. There is some wear to the metal as shown in the pictures. It has a wood handle with a hook in the end for hanging. Before the days of manufactured dishwashing liquid, people would put little bits of soap in these and swirl them in their dishpans or sinks to make soapy water to wash dishes. It's a neat old collectible and it still works. This soap saver is also a great accent piece for a country or rustic setting.
