No. 4 Primitive Stoneware Churn w/ Dasher & Lid Want to make some creamy butter?....be on top at the end and you would be on your way to creamy butter. Take a look at the dasher..original dasher I must confess...it is worn almost half thru, many years of makin that butter. The lid has a small chip, guess thats not all bad especially considering the age of this "butter maker". T are no chips or cracks in the churn itself. No. 4 in blue along with a cobalt blue line are the only marks I have discovered. This cobalt no. 4 and the cobalt line sure make a striking contrast against the ivory stoneware finish. Also, the original wooden handle bale is still in operation This primitive churn would make a very fine display along side the ole cane bottom latter back chair.
