Primitive Vintage Wood Inlaid Game Board / Checkerboard This beautiful old checkerboard is in excellent original condition. I have had it for many years and it has always been one of my favorite antiques. This checkerboard measures 15 3/4" x 15 3/4". Each checker square is 1-3/4" by 1-3/4". The wood inlaid squares appear to be walnut and a soft wood. It is in excellent primitive condition with an inlaid wood edging around the four sides of the board and an outer wood frame. The inlaid squares are all original. T is very little surface wear. Over the years, someone has added a very thin piece of green felt to the back of the board. This felt can easily be removed. I bought this board many years ago at an estate sale, so I am not sure of its exact age, however, this beautiful old board is probably circa early to mid 1900's.....perfect for the table top or wall display.....wonderful gift for any board collector.
