Goodness Gracious 's a big santa for you, 32 inches tall (It's rare that I make a big one and will be the only one this season)......this santa is the perfect Christmas greeter...He is weighted to easliy sit in a chair, stair case or under a Christmas tree holding a small gift...He can hardly wait to fill your home with Christmas warmth...The vintage fabric texture and color combinations add so much depth and character...pictures just unable to capture true personality. I use vintage aged and antiqued fabric, blankets and any other textile I can find whenever possible...washed and cleaned of course, they add authentic vintage personality and character and a special reminder of yesterdays, simple times and many family memories of days gone by. Oh, just think of the history the fabric, buttons, and lace have...if they could tell their story! I hope they conjure up special memories for you and bring a smile to your face His outfit is made entirely of vintage wool blankets and vintage upholstery. His jacket is a faded dusty rose with vintage shell buttons hand stitched down the front. Around his waist I've tied a piece of old olive colored blanket binding. His sleeves are trimmed with real lambs wool. His sack and hat are made from my favorite pieces of vintage upholstery EVER....thick textured and very old...both different...the hat has a bit of sheen to his woven texture and is trimmed with aged fleece and a vintage pompom. His sack is embellished with a vintage plastic Christmas ornament...one that I've never seen before...be sure to peek at the closeup. I've also attached a handstamped aged hang tag....~Holy Night....1864~ His trousers are made from a vintage cream wool blanket trimmed in genuine leather. This santa is just full of detail..... He is quality made keepsake, and made to hand down to the next generation. He appears to be an authentic antique, 80 years old, just like he was found in Granny's attic....My goal... I love to be reminded of days gone by. This doll is a Old Time Doll Co. original and ONE OF A KIND piece of folk art designed by me, Kimi. A pattern is NEVER used, I make each doll one at a time...no assembly line. HE IS SIGNED, DATED, AND NUMBERED. On his bottom I hand sew a tag of authenticity. Each doll is cut individually out of muslin(new), the face is hand sculpted and embroidered....a template is not used. Using vintage fabrics, textiles, and notions in short supply you are truly getting a one of a kind doll full of its own personality and charm. His boots and mittens are stained for that worn by time look! All embellishment, lace, buttons, and 100% wool beard are hand sewn on. I never use glue on any of my dolls. This doll is stained to perfection and made to look like a true antique primitive doll, that has seen a lot of history in its time.
