This primitive chopper shows great age patina and is in good "As Found" condition. There is a bit of pitting common in early ironware and kitchenware, and some wear to the blade edges which is also common for well used items of this nature and age. The wood handle has a bit of what looks like white paint to the edge of the handle depicted in photo #5. Note that photos 1,3, & 5 are more true to color as the others are a bit yellow from poor lighting. This is a good sturdy item and makes for a great display in your Colonial or early American household. Please utilize all enlargement and zoom features as needed when viewing this item. Also note this item was used for chopping, although the blades could be sharper please utilize caution when handling as they could still cut if misused/mishandled. Dimensions approximate: 8 1/2"L x 5 1/2"H x 2 1/4" blade to blade. Please note that I do not repair, restore/refinish, clean any item. Also note that this item has been used and will show such wear of a used item under normal circumstances of use and age. This item is still functional although I would not suggest use of this item for anything more than a display piece. Anything not listed in my description is purely an oversight and is hopefully displayed through my photographs. Questions and insight are always welcome. Thank you for stopping read more
