Selling with NO RESERVE is this fine old antique bench. Our Amish neighbors had it sitting on their front porch but would also function well in your hallway. We sold a set of plank bottom chairs for them a while back and they were pleased with the results so they asked us to sell this bench. John told us this bench was made by his Great Grandfather sometime in the mid to late 1800's. We lean toward the latter part of the 19th century as it does have round head nails. He thinks it is made of fir but my husband thinks its pine with oak legs. Whatever it is, it is sturdy and sits solidly and evenly on the floor. It's got an old finish on it, most likely varnish. The color is a nice mellow brown, showing a wonderful patina. Have a look at the photos w I will describe it further. MEASUREMENTS: 99" Long, 11 1/2" wide and 19 3/4" from the floor to the top of the seat. Look at the great patina and wear on this piece. That is one solid long board that makes up the seat. If we had a rustic decor I would keep this one. It is built like a tank and really looks much better in person than in the photos. No disappointments 's a look at the underside. Nice brown oxidation on the bare underside. And some final views. This is a very nice primitive bench that will surely not disappoint.
