Hi! Welcome to my eBay Raggedy Ann Doll adoption. is another a primitive style Raggedy Ann doll up for adoption. Thank you for stopping by to have a peek. She is a bit uncertain about leaving home, but her dear sweet little friend Annie reassured her she will be very happy in her new home, dried her tears and now she is ready to go on an adventure.THIS AUCTION IS FOR THE LITTLE RAGGEDY ANN WITH THE RED PRINT DRESS AND RED RIBBON TIED TO THE BUTTON ON HER BODICE, ONE DOLLY ONLY !Raggedy Ann is made from Onasburg fabric which has gone through the aging process over and over to give her the just right well loved and worn look. I like my dolls to look as if they had been made by a mom for her child using what she had on hand and made with a lot of love. After having been carried around and played with for many adventures then the little doll is packed away and rediscovered by someone new to love, are you that someone? My Raggedy Annâe(tm)s start out with all new fabric and then made to look old and worn and so well loved. I use vintage buttons and accessories if I have them available. Her face is hand painted and then sanded, she is much darker than she appears in the photos. Her dress is also sanded to make it look worn, you will see little holes and t Her hair is red wool fiber which has been needle felted to cover all of her head. I buy my yarn from Lowell Country Design, her eBay ID is folkartfromvermont . The apron and bloomers are made from a cotton dish towel. I have not aged them, I like the look of the bright white against the aged look of the doll and her dress. It is has if someone found her and made her something new to wear. Her legs are burgundy/cream striped ticking. Her dress is made from a sweet print of little strawberries that look like hearts, perfect for a Raggedy Ann Doll. This fabric was a surprise gift from a dear internet friend, thank you again Eileen! I added a vintage button to her neckline and two vintage buttons on her apron straps. She has been heavily stained as are her clothes.. If you do not love the look of an old worn doll then she is not for you, if you love primitives then you will be sure to love her. They each seem to have a personality all their own, once you see her in person you will be smitten by her charm. She is very plump, stuffed with fabric scraps, stuffing, wool and 100 pounds of personality and love! She is a bit over 19 inches in length. My dolls are for display only, they are not meant for young children. I do not use patterns for my dolls. My dolls are created with lots of love and I spend many hours making one doll, she must be perfect in my eyes before I will let her go! She will come to you signed and dated as a one of a kind original by me, Martha of Jelliesjams Dolls. I invite you to read my About Me page to learn more about me.
