An interesting collection of 48 different thimble s, made of porcelain and other materials Description: These interesting thimbles were made in various countries during the 20th century. Most are nicely made from China or Porcelain, and finely decorated. Some are made of other materials. The thimbles have an attractive appearance and are in good condition, without damages or repairs. These thimbles have various sizes. This group consists of 48 different thimbles and definitely includes some rarities. Included are: *six hand painted and signed biscuit porcelain thimbles. (2 are signed ROBA USA, dated 83 and 84; one is by Betty Daley, one by Gilly Davis) *four jeweled and enameled brass thimbles, made by Felix Morell*four various cloisonné (enameled and polished brass) possibly oriental thimbles *a black porcelain thimble featuring praying hands, applied in silver (USA).*a black porcelain thimble with a gilt rose (USA)*two jeweled porcelain thimbles, marked; 'Thimble craft by Shirley'. *three various thimbles, including one featuring Mozart, stored in dome shaped containers on a circular base*five boxed thimbles, including one with a cut crystal top (Mount Everest), one by Reuther ('Arabesk') , one Dutch royalty (Prince Claus), one thimble featuring a finch, marked 'Thuringen', and one thimble hand decorated with fruits, monogrammed 'B.H.', marked Birchcroft.*four boxed thimbles, including a green enameled one engraved with a mouse, one from Rhodos, Greece, one with a female ballet dancer in relief, marked 'Queen Odette, 1980, Roman, Inc.', and a brass one with a kitten. *three hand painted wooden Russian thimbles, showing continuous landscapes all signed by their makers, some dated.*four other various thimbles*a box containing eight porcelain thimbles, shaped as Christmas bells, signed: 'Blue Waters of England -Staffordshire - fine bone china'. *a Christmas thimble 2005 of the Dutch Thimble Club*a thimble with doves/pigeons, marked on the back 'Royal Worcester'.* a Millennium Thimble on circular plate, issued in the year 2000, signed.Please view the pictures which give an honest impression of the quality and condition of these interesting collector's items.
