Bell stamped COUESNON STAR PARIS #75237 ( serial number ) MADE IN FRANCE ! This is 2nd Couesnon trumpet like this I`m listing and I just received a very recent feedback for 1st I sold. You are getting a professional top of the line French COUESENON STAR VINTAGE trumpet for the price of a student trumpet or even below it ! Don`t miss ! I just played few notes on this horn before listing and horn plays nice but I just discovered that bottom 2nd slide pipe coming out from the 2nd valve has a tiny crack/hole which needs to be sealed/soldered. This small fix will go a long way improving how it sound. Now I realized why that area was kind of sticky because looks like previous owner put a tape t I wish I would discover this when my repairman was cleaning pistons some time ago. Please look at pistons as those have no wear on the plating ! At this time my loss is your gain as this is a 5 minute job and it will improve it a lot but I`m lowering price for that comparing to my other Couesnon trumpet listing on which buy now price was higher than ! Jazz trumpeter Kenny Dorham used to be an endorsing artist for Couesnon after the period when he used to play his Martin Committee. This one is from very similar period except is a STAR model so maybe even more desirable and has reversed tuning slide. Condition is very good minus the thing I mentioned above. Pistons were cleaned in the past and show no wear. Compression is excellent but you need to seal that tiny crack to make it better on 2nd slide. It is a very tiny leak t When I got this horn from what I remember finger buttons were mismatched so I put used Bach buttons and those work fine but need to mention that as this 3 buttons are not original Couesnon buttons. T was no trigger on this horn when I got it. Nobody cares about those anyway and many people remove triggers on the 1st slides. Yellow lacquer is nice on this horn with scratches from time. The wear on the bell pipe is not a repair just a blemish some sort/scratch. I`m lowering the price so you the new owner has a room to fix what I described above. It`s ready to play now but what I described above will improve it`s playability ! Trumpet comes with Bach Bundy case in very good useable shape which will protect it in shipping as well as Bach Corp vintage small letters mouthpiece 7C which is in good shape. DON`T MISS ! BOTTOM LINE OF THIS DEAL IS THAT IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A PRO LINE HORN AT A LOW PRICE $$$ AS THIS IS A FRENCH PRO LINE COUESNON JUST LIKE FLUGELS DON`T MISS THIS ONE.
