Welcome to this auction for a pro set-up Encore Stratocaster electric guitar!Those of you who follow my auctions will be aware that, as a hobby, I usually work with rare and unusual guitars and, using my time-earned experience as a luthier, strip them down, refurbish them and set them up to extract the maximum possible performance and playability from them. Occassionally however, I turn my attention to beginner's guitars as quite honestly, the people usually expected to play the most difficult instruments, are the very people who would really benefit from a properly set-up, easy to handle guitar!In this case, I have started with a well made Encore Stratocaster style guitar, deeply cleansed, sanded and reoiled the rosewood fretboard and individually polished the frets. I have set the action to a very pleasant mid to low level and restrung using light Ernie Ball Super Slinkys, all to make life fast and easy for novice (or experienced) fingers. You will notice (pic.1) I have installed a very useful, spring loaded pick holder so there is always one (or more) to hand and the guitar has been finished with a professional guitar polish.This particular guitar is cosmetically in a good, used condition, exhibiting some surface scratching on the body, but no fret wear and obviously it is now playing as closely as one could hope for to Clapton' read more
