I have been performing ventriloquism professionally for over 30 years, and making vent figures for myself and other vents for over 25 of those years. Although I enjoy making hand sculpted and carved figures, I have always wanted to find a way to produce a top quality professional figure at a reasonable price, and now, thanks to a special arrangement with casting expert Michael Brose, I am finally able to offer that figure! Meet... "FRANK" !!! "Frank" is my tribute to that great American figuremaker, Frank Marshall, who created Danny O'Day, Jerry Mahoney, Gerry Gee, Max Terhune's "Elmer" and many, many more! I created my Marshall Tribute line of figures to capture the style and look of a classic Marshall figure! These figures are available only from me, and because Mike Brose beautifully casts the heads and hands for me, I am able to offer these beautiful figures at a price every vent and collector can afford! FEATURES: * Smooth mouth movement opens wide for great visability! * Side to side self centering moving eyes! * Raising Eyebrows! Great for showing surprise, flirting,etc. My favorite extra movement! * Crossing Eyes! A scream for kid shows and adult audiences alike! VERY funny! * Ball and Socket neck for easy tilting and turning! * Full professional size approximately 40" tall! * Absolutely BEAUTIFUL Marshall "orange style" paint job. Each head is painstakingly hand painted using 4 coats of ARTISTS GRADE acrylics (NO student quality paints used!). Shading is done through the thickness of the paint. The final coat is lightly stippled for texture and to cut shine. Although I have "toned down" the colors slightly for more modern venues, I believe I have still captured the look and feel of Frank's work. * Comes fully dressed in new clothes as shown without shoes! Wears size 4T. * No two figures exactly alike! These figures are made one at a time- by me. Each figure has it's own unique charm and personality! * Head and hands of tough lightweight urethane! * Wood frame body! * 1 YEAR Warranty on mechanics! * Pictures shown are of the ACTUAL figure you are bidding on! * Beautiful craftsmanship and attention to detail! * Controls set up for right hand use. IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ!!! The figures in the last photo are NOT FOR SALE! They are shown for comparison purposes only. On the right is one of the 35" modified toys that some ebayers are calling "pro" figures. As you can see, the difference is not just the height, but the proportions of the head (and bodies) as well. The modified toys are VERY small and were never intended for professional use. On the left is a true pro size Marshall Tribute head, in the middle the modified toy, and on the right, a regulation softball to show just how small those converted Danny O'Day, Charlie McCarthy and Howdy Doody heads really are! I have seen uninformed ebayers spend over $500 on those toy figures. T is nothing wrong the modified toys, if that is what you are looking for- but please don't be misled into thinking they are true full size professional figures- they are not! ASK and be sure you know what you are getting! "Frank" is a REAL, FULL SIZE professional figure, NOT the converted toy vent dolls that other ebayers are selling for up to $500!!!
