NEW IN BOX U.S. Auction Only! Prototype Navy SEALs Tactical Boots Size: 10.5Model: ShadowManufacturer: Lalo FootwearBlack/Carbon This is a piece of equipment you will likely never see again. This tactical boot is an incredibly rare, limited run by Lalo Footwear, and in conjunction with former United States Navy SEALs Team 10 member Nathaniel "Lalo" Roberti. They were developed and shipped out to the teams for T&E (testing and evaluation) by team members, and I was fortunate enough to come into this particular pair. These look and feel like "Air Jordans" for the baddest dudes on the planet. They are lightweight, flexible, breathable-- and most important-- practical. They are made of the highest quality materials-- including Kevlar and Carbon Fiber-- and no expense was spared in their creation. Attention to detail is very impressive and well thought out, from the climbing spikes on the instep to the underflap of the tongue bearing the inscription, "The only easy day was yesterday." Below you will find specs on the boots as provided with the footwear, and this spec sheet will be included in the box with the boots. The boots themselves are brand new, but the box has some light damage-- the adhesive holding the box together has separated, and one corner on the box top is split, but the box is completely in tact. Serious collectors-- Jump on them while you can, and KEY PRODUCT FEATURES LALO boots are approximately half the weight of standard issue military footwear LALO boots dry in approximately half the time of standard issue military footwear Multiple proprietary features were designed to increase user performance in both training and field-specific tasks Designed to reduce injuries #1 Protection plate -- This plate is installed in the sole of the boot. It serves 3 very important purposes: 1) It is made from very strong carbon fiber and thereby provides significant protection from sharp object penetration, 2) the protection provided by the thin plate allowed us to design a boot with far less rubber, making the boot lighter than any other on the market without compromising structural integrity, and 3) the plate is engineered to withstand heavy loads. #2 Decreased fatigue via a special "last" -- The physical shape of the boot is designed to transfer a portion of a user's downward momentum into forward momentum. While hauling heavy loads over long distances, this will help significantly by making a user faster and less susceptible to fatigue. #3 Drainage system -- On both sides of the LALO boot are drainage channels that allow any collected liquid in the boot to exit. Additionally, the materials chosen for construction of the LALO boot uppers do not retain water. The benefits of dry boots are obviously numerous, and the lack of added wet mass, when compared with standard boots, is quite significant. #4 Climbing arch -- Sections of the outsole of LALO boots have installed injection moldings imbedded with small spikes. This feature allows a user to safely and quickly climb various structures, including caving ladders, ropes, and walls. #5 Streamlined toe box -- The carbon fiber lined toe box is designed to protect a user's feet from heavy objects. It also provides enhanced thermal insulation. The box design is streamlined, which allows LALO boots to instantly fit directly into fins and other common footholds that current boots do not. For boot-in-fin operations this not only speeds up an otherwise long process of removing one's boots, securing them, then putting on fins, etc., but it also has the added advantage of obviating the need to carry extra boots. #6 Kevlar overlay -- LALO boots have a patch of flexible Kevlar on their outside surface.
