This rare printing of "THE PROVIDENCE GAZETTE AND COUNTRY JOURNAL" dates from June 22, 1793 and features news from the National Convention in France on the front page. The four page newspaper also features a proclamation by President George Washington stating that US citizens should stay neutral in the European wars T is also an answer by Washington to a previous proclamation as well as news from around the world and around the country. Printed on hand laid paper this newspaper measures approx. 11" x 17". This rare 214 year old newspaper is complete and in extremely good condition! Buyer pays shipping & insurance.
