Prussian Hospital Officials Waffenrock Private purchase, pre-war / dress Tunic is produced from a dark "Prussian" blue uniform wool. In the Waffenrock cut, having a high collar, eight-button front, blue piped "Swedish" cuffs and front edge. The "Officials" pattern buttons are of bright tombac with the Prussian eagle & shield motif. Its sewn in, enlisted style shoulder straps have cornflower blue piping and evidence of long removed cyphers. It retains a set of loops for a medal or ribbon bar on its upper left breast. (The bar showing in the pictures is not included and only for photographic purposes). The interior has a sewn in black collar liner and segmented lining of black silken cloth with white silk inside its sleeves. These sleeve interiors have postwar wardrobe stamping's indicating former ownership by the old Defa studios. The tunic shows use and age with light wear, a few small pinheads, a loose shoulder strap and lacking a few of its original buttons.
