Title page states "Fourth Edition," but this is likely actually the first and only edition. 112 pp, with illustrations from photographs showing people being treated for mental and physical ailments using the author's methods. Original cloth with titles printed on upper board. Corners and top edge lightly bumped; minor wear to boards; contents clean and sound. Barnes was President of the short-lived Boston College of Practical Psychology. According to the Preface, "The prime object of this little volume is to set forth clearly and concisely the value of psychology, hypnotism, and clairvoyance as practically applied to education, morality, spirituality, medicine, surgery, business, and to the development and exercise of personal magnetism....During many years devoted to research, study, and instructing, the author has controlled thousands of persons, and thereby demonstrated beyond reasonable doubt the vast amount of good results obtainable through properly directed mental
