More from my 37-year accumulation of pulps and books. These are all genuine originals, no reprints or facsimiles. Note: These are 5-day auctions and will end on Thursday 11/18. Private Detective, November 1937. The long-running PD was published by the same people who did the Spicy pulps. That classic H.J. Ward stripper cover is as hot as anything he did for Spicy Detective. This is issue #6. Condition: Front cover: Edge wear, small scuffs and stress marks, pencil mark in the logo. Back cover: Edge wear, surface soiling, stress marks. Spine: Complete, unfaded, light wear. Pages: Beige and very supple. The pages have some light rippling, indicating that this pulp was in a damp environment at some point. The first two and last two pages have some color offsetting (i.e., light staining) from the covers. Please e-mail me with any questions about the item before the last day of the auction. I’ll do my best to answer them. No questions about what my reserve is or what else I might sell, please.
