This is a PUMA Bowie Knife 116396 made in 1996 (date code 52962). This knife has never been sharpened, used or carried. It still has the Rockwell hardness sticker on it. Stag is great and has no chips or cracks and is 1 inch thick at the widest part. T is no box. Sheath is great with no cuts or scratches on the outside. Blade reads "(PUMA SYMBOL) 11 6396 Handmade, Puma Original Bowie, GERMANY HIGH CARBON STEEL" The blade wording is cut into the blade, it is not ink stamped like the newer bowie knives. The blade does have a couple dark marks in blade as shown in the photos. Please ask questions!!! I have just received information from a gentleman in Germany ( the same eBay memember who asked a question below). He contacted the puma company and the following is what he reported back to me. "Thank you for your information. I believe that you did not make a mistake. On the code are the two numbers 9 and 6 swapped. For the number 52962, the company PUMA take no year, but for the number 52692 PUMA says, "My knife is in the 2nd half of 1996 has been manufactured."
