PURPLE SLAG TEA CUP/SAUCER I have tried to find info on this item, but without much success. If anybody knows, please let me know. This is another of my grandma's finds. The dimensions of the saucer are 5 1/4". The teacup is 4" from handle to edge of the cup and 3" high. There is a marking on the bottom, but I could not locate any company marks resembling it. It is a very beautiful piece with one spot above the handle that looks like a "mole" in photo #2 and another near the top of the rim across from it. The cup seems to me to sit a bit slanted in the saucer. The saucer also shows some wear from the bottom of the cup sliding around on it. Both cup and saucer have what appear to be a palm fern embossing on the underside of the saucer and the outside of the cup. In photo #5, there are two stress cracks on the handle, but doesn't interfere with the integrity of the piece. Overall a beautiful piece to add to a collection or start a new one!
