PURPLE-STRIPE JELLYFISH AUTHENTIC ALASKAN NATIVE CRAFT/ARTWORK Carved ENTIRELY in Alaska from Alaskan Materials .......................... the item was transformed into an authentic Alaskan Native article of handicraft or clothing by a Native Alaskan Eskimo ! Up for your consideration, a JELLYFISH DIORAMA, carved in the traditional, Eskimo style, from Alaskan Walrus Ivory. The bell is walrus ivory, the wavy tentacles are Alaska Mammoth ivory, the black tentacles are black whip coral. The base is a 3 X 8 inch (approx.) chunk of mammoth ivory. Some fossil walrus ivory chunks have been added as an enrichment. The upright is a chunk of fossil walrus ivory. A 2 X 2 inch, near complete ancient shark tooth ( Megaladon, I believe) is on the sea floor. The bell diameter is 1.75 inches (approx). The tentacles average 3 inches.
