This oval platter, 13 1/2" by 11", has a fine seaweed pattern. Made in the pottery of John Wedge Wood who potted from 1841 - 1860, it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines, stains, or repairs. It is marked with its pattern name, SEALEAF, and the potter, J. Wedg Wood. This potter made his wares at the same time as the early Wedgwood pottery, but is a different yet equally talented potter.
